Durability is key for foundry

Newby Foundries has purchased a new fleet of five 7FGF gas forklifts from M&W Toyota Handling.

Rae Knowles, buyer at Newby Foundries said: "The forklifts are used for sorting the metal outside and transporting it to and from the foundry, as well as internal movement of castings and equipment within the manufacturing area. The heat and dust make this a challenging environment so it is imperative the trucks are very robust.

"We have approached other materials handling providers in the past but the service has not matched the level we receive from M&W Toyota Handling, and the trucks are simply not as strong and reliable."
