Yale and its Swiss dealer Avesco AG supported Europe's top sixteen football teams and thousands of fans visiting Switzerland for Euro 2008 by supplying Veracitor VX lift trucks to help construct temporary arenas with viewing stands, giant video screens and hospitality areas in 16 Swiss towns and cities.

Each arena complex required 350t of construction materials to erect viewing stands and tents. Yale counterbalance trucks were used to unload vehicles and position building materials and stores on the sites. When not screening live matches, the arenas hosted live music and screened past UEFA championship games.

The Yale Veracitor VX Series of 1.6 to 5.5t capacity lift trucks were specified for high productivity and excellent operator ergonomics. The series has Auto Deceleration System (ADS) with Techtronix transmission. ADS is the engine truck equivalent of regenerative braking on electric trucks, automatically slowing the truck when the throttle pedal is released.
