Fast, efficient and reliable
February 1st 2006 Rapidly growing distribution company, RAD Warehousing, is reported to have achieved greater productivity, higher storage density and less downtime after switching its truck fleet to the Narrow Aisle Flexi.
The four Flexi Generation 3 trucks are in operation at RAD's Risby headquarters.
Goods are either stored in racking or block stacked in four warehouse locations, totalling 70,000ft2 of storage space with 10,000 pallet locations. The trucks are used throughout the site - in the racking and block stacking areas and outside in the delivery area for loading and unloading lorries.
RAD's MD, Andy Simpson, says: "We had previously tried articulated trucks but we were considering changing over to counterbalance trucks when Narrow Aisle suggested we trial a FLEXI.
