Forklift becomes de-icing vehicle
December 1st 2004

Forklifts can now be turned into deicing vehicles in moments following the launch of a specially designed fork hitch from Broadwood International.

Designed for use with a versatile Broadwood Snow-Ex salt spreader, the hitch is attached to the forks in a couple of minutes using a hand screw lock down. The hitch eliminates the need for manual and mechanical salt and sand spreading during winter months around industrial premises, freight terminals and other goods handling areas.

Manufactured using heavy duty powered coated steel, the hitch enables easy installation and removal of the SnowEx spreader.

The SnowEx is designed primarily for bulk salt spreading and is available in eight different models of varying capacities. The smallest SnowEx, the SP325, holds 76L of ice melting material capable of treating a 4500m2 yard or roadway.
