Mitsubishi refines its rugged range October 1st 2005 Following the launch of its 1.5 to 3.5t N series of IC counterbalance trucks, Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks has announced a number of significant improvements to its rugged 4 to 5t range.
These include a new LPG engine, lower noise levels, enhanced fingertip control and reduced maintenance requirements.
The new LPG engine is controlled by a sophisticated engine management system, which combines a closedloop circuit with a standard regulated catalytic converter.
According to the company, this results in increased engine output and torque, combined with minimal exhaust emissions.
In common with the smaller Mitsubishi trucks, there is an engine protection system that guards against damage from overheating.
Meanwhile, the advanced fuel and ignition systems minimise the need for tuning, resulting in less downtime and greater throughput.
New options include a hydraulic relief valve kit for work with clamps and similar equipment; a brake booster filter kit to help protect the engine in dusty environments; and speed limiting on LPG models. More articles from Mitsubishi Electric Europe: |
