December 1st 2005 'Mitsubishi gives you more' is the message from the forklift manufacturer as it launches a comprehensive counterbalance truck range - headed up by new three and four wheel 48V AC models.
The FBNT three wheel and FBN four wheel series feature a new generation control system, which governs an advanced safety feature - the Integrated Presence System (IPS). IPS detects whether the driver is correctly seated and, if not, prevents all hydraulic movement. Unlike rival systems, IPS stops lowering as well as lifting, tilting and truck travel. It also provides a parking brake alarm and seat belt warning light.
The controller also adjusts acceleration, travel speed, lift/lower speed and braking to suit the load, application and driver.
Available in capacities of 1.6, 1.8 and 2t, the trucks feature AC drive and hydraulic motors for high performance combined with energy efficiency and smooth, quiet operation.
