Paper mills use LPG powered forklifts August 1st 2008 LPC Group has recently
placed an order for a further
eight Komatsu LPG powered
forklift trucks from Windsor
Komatsu & Access. The
company manufactures
household paper, toilet
tissue, kitchen towel, facial
tissues, napkins and table
top products.
Windsor has been
supplying LPC for over 14
years, beginning with
standard 1500kg capacity
LPG counterbalance units.
Due to the light weight of
the finished product
Windsor recommended
double pallet handlers,
which greatly increased
pallet handling speed,
including lorry loading.
Windsor also supplies
larger capacity 4500kg
machines fitted with bale
clamps and tissue roll
clamps for use in LPC's paper
mills.
The latest order, including
five Komatsu BX50
machines, increases the
total number of forklift
trucks supplied to LPC to 50,
all on a contract hire basis
including full maintenance
backed up by on site
engineers.
Komatsu says one of the
benefits of the BX50 range
is the tandem hydraulic
pump, which gives one of
the fastest lifting speeds in
its class when idling. This
can negate the need for
high engine revving when
lifting and stacking,
reducing fuel usage and
emissions. More articles from Windsor Komatsu & Access: |
