Reliable trucks for handling granite October 1st 2004 Specialists in the production of granite headstones and kitchen worktops, K's Memorials of Sheffield, has up-graded its forklift for the third time in as many years to cope with increasing demand and the scale of its operation.
Two years ago, when manual handling was no longer a viable option for the company, it contacted Samuk Clark dealer, Peterman Forklift Trucks of Killamarsh. This led to the supply of a 1.5t Clark Samuk machine, later swopped for a 2.5t unit and now up-graded to a 4t Clark CMP40L. This unit handles pallets of imported headstones and sheets of granite using a quick to fit clamp attachment.
The CMP40L is powered by an economical and low vibration GM V6, 4.3 litre LPG engine developing 76hp at 2000rpm. |
