Smaller fortens added

Hyster has added to its Fortens IC engined range with the H1.6-2.0FT series.

Aimed at users who need a smaller truck with the operating advantages that come with every Fortens unit, the launch of the H1.6- 2.0FT follows on quickly from the introduction of the Fortens H2.0-3.5FT series in the summer.

During the development of the Fortens range, Hyster is reported to have employed the best virtual, bench and field testing equipment and processes in the industry. As a result, the H1.6-2.0FT offers dependability, low ownership costs, operatorpreferred ergonomics and application matched performance.

Every H1.6-2.0FT truck is fitted with a durable powertrain, controlled by the Hyster-developed Pacesetter VSM (Vehicle System Manager), featuring a CANbus communications network. This monitors and protects key truck features, including the powertrain and all its electrical systems.

Hyster has also developed its own electronically controlled DuraMatch transmission, available on the Fortens H1.6-2.0FT Advance models. This patented transmission design boosts performance while reducing operating costs.
