Taking the bite out of the credit crunch
February 1st 2009

At a time when the future is looking so uncertain, the last thing you need is unexpected bills. Fortunately, Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks understands the importance of a 'sure thing', which is why the company offers an unbeatable 5 year warranty package throughout the UK

Designed to minimise operating costs in the short-term and protect against nasty surprises in the long-term, the warranty offers wide-ranging cover and, more importantly, peace of mind for truck users. It is described by the manufacturer as being "as robust and dependable as the Mitsubishi truck itself". What's more, the warranty stays with the truck and not with the original buyer – which helps to maximise its secondhand value.

"We are very excited to offer this industryleading warranty programme on our comprehensive range of trucks," says Mike Jones, General Manager of Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks UK. "This is our way of showing that we stand behind the reliability of our products and strive to provide our customers with a complete forklift truck package.

"Our trucks' reputation for reliability is hardly surprising when you consider their heritage. The Mitsubishi global organisation is involved in the production of everything from aeroplanes to medical devices, spacecraft to ships and scientific equipment to rally vehicles. The uncompromising approach of its engineers to quality and dependability influences every aspect of our forklift development.

"But our trucks' reputation for outstanding reliability is just half the story.

To fully benefit from that dependability, our trucks and customers need to be assured of excellent back-up as well. By carefully selecting the dealers in our network, and heavily investing in their training and electronic systems, we are able to maintain our position as leaders in product support.

"Our combination of exceptional products and unrivalled product support is possible only through the unique partnership enjoyed by Mitsubishi as a global manufacturer with a truly local dealer network. That's why only Mitsubishi can offer such an extensive and comprehensive warranty package." To learn more about this unique initiative, call the Mitsubishi Greenline – 0845 371 3048 – or contact your local Mitsubishi dealer by following the links on the company website: www.mitsubishi-forklift.co.uk. A truly faithful forklift

After 25 years of service, most forklifts would be ready for the scrapheap. Then again, as Manchester's Descaling Services can testify, most forklifts aren't built to the standards demanded by Mitsubishi.

Bought in 1982, the firm's Mitsubishi FD20 counterbalance truck has been a true workhorse. As the company's only forklift, its reliability and easy serviceability aren't just desirable qualities – they are absolutely vital. Working with corrosive pickling acids and chemical descalers may have affected the FD20's looks, but that's not a problem for Assistant Works Engineer Paul Warburton.

"She might not look very good on the outside, but it's not looks that count. Our Mitsubishi has been long-lasting, strong and robust. She's put to the test every day and – looks or no looks – she always passes. She's a real pleasure to drive – easy to manoeuvre, dependable and still comfortable after all these years. She's definitely taken a lot of the hard work out of our lives.

"When it comes time to think about replacing our FD20, we will definitely stick with Mitsubishi. There's no reason to go anywhere else."
