'Three trucks in one'
August 1st 2008

Crown says its new RC 5500 is 'three trucks in one package'. It can work in narrow aisles like a reach truck, stack vans and lorries like a conventional counterbalance and shift pallets like a powered pallet truck.

Features include the maintenance-free e-GENTM Braking System and Crown's FlexRide suspension technology for maximum uptime. A low profile, sculpted drive unit, clearview mast, an overhead guard and flexible side stance give excellent visibility. The RC 5500 also has the latest generation three phase motors. Standard lift heights are up to 6200 mm with the Triplex mast (TT-Mast) or 7010 mm with a Quad mast.

The Fork Lift Truck Association awarded the RC 5500 the FLTA Award for Ergonomics and the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design gave Crown the Good Design award for the RC 5500.
