Transmitting the need for control
April 1st 2009

From Jiffy bags to pallets, cartons to a full lorry load, Aspray Transport and Logistics offers a nationwide next day delivery service through its own network of depots, fleet and employees.

Having celebrated its 25th anniversary, it acknowledges the advantages of good partnerships, both internally and with external companies.

An example of one such partnership is that between Aspray and Dawsonrentals.

Aspray has renewed its contract with the materials handling equipment division of Dawsonrentals to supply and maintain its fleet of Toyota forklift trucks. To monitor and protect the safety of drivers, it has provided 11 Toyota trucks with Lamerholm's transmission protection (TP) system, a microprocessorbased control system with features designed to protect transmission and save tyres, preventing operators from slamming the truck from forward to reverse above a pre-set speed and adjustable engine rpm. It also stops the trucks being used as bulldozers and limits fast starts.

Compact design means it can be hidden if required.

Anti-tamper and fault diagnostics are built into the dashboard display.
