Highlighting fork safety
February 1st 2006

New from Contact Attachments, the Fork Fender enhances health and safety by highlighting the forks of a forklift.

According to the company, accidents can occur when people are not aware that forks are protruding from a lift truck and can either trip over or walk into them.

Moving or stationary trucks with bare forks are potentially a serious hazard to pedestrians. This low cost safety device simply slips on to the tips of the forks. It is particularly suitable for use in situations where the truck is being driven around where customers or personnel are walking; the truck is being driven on a public road; the truck is being worked on and the forks are left raised in the air.

The Fork Fender is made from XLP6 medium density foam in High Visibility yellow and fronted by a "Hi-Viz" safety hazard sticker.
