Improved safety and efficiency
February 1st 2004

Use of two Translift Bendi forklifts is reported to have transformed warehouse efficiency and improved safety for mail order company, Scotts of Stow.

Unlike VNA units, the Bendis do not have to be fed by counterbalance trucks and can be used to load lorries outside and undercover. The articulating, centre point steering design means the Bendi can work in aisles 1.8m wide, making considerable space savings possible.

Initially dubious about the operation of the Bendi, once the drivers had undergone training they were completely won over.
