Daily checks handbook December 1st 2004 In line with its drive to increase safety standards, the Fork Lift Truck Association has introduced a publication to help ensure daily checks are completed.
‘There’s no doubt that the simpler and more straightforward the task can be made, the more likely it is to be completed,’ said FLTA chief executive, David Ellison. ‘That’s why this latest in our series of operator handbooks contains information designed to be easy to follow – with clear guidance on how every action should be carried out. It also assists management with the control of this important safety-related activity.’ The booklet gives practical advice on what should be checked and provides a clear, concise check sheet.
It contains 66 pages, each one providing enough space for two or three months of daily checks. More articles from The Fork Truck Association: |
