New hydraulic load protection system
February 1st 2005 A hydraulic load protection system from Timotex helps to protect forklift trucks against the risks created by excess load being lifted.
The HOI 30 indicator can be fitted to any forklift to alert the driver to a potentially unsafe load, thereby contributing to safety in the workplace. It also helps reduce truck wear and tear and consequent downtime.
Operating via the truck’s hydraulic system, it measures the pressure in the main lift ram, which is directly proportional to the applied load. Green, amber or red lights on the display show the load as a percentage of the truck’s lifting capacity. The unit can be connected to an optional external klaxon giving a 70dB alarm.
Simple to install within immediate view of the operator, the system is suited to applications where the load centre remains the same. Further options include a relay output to turn off valves. More articles from Timotex Limited: |
