Remote mounting
June 1st 2008 MOFFETT has launched
its Ground Mount System,
a remote mounting
system for Truck-mounted
forklifts. Previously
operators would have to
remain on the machine
during mounting and
dismounting using the
forks to lift or lower it, and
climbing on or off the
machine at
height.
The
Ground
Mount
System
enables the
entire
operation
from the ground, using a
wireless remote control.
Each handset features
eight buttons that give
the operator total control
over lift & tilt, sideshift
and reach. The Moffett
can be remote started
while automatically
engaging the park brake
and disabling the drive
pedal for safe measure. A
button lock facility, with a
predetermined unlock
sequence, ensures there
are no accidental
