More storage for Stainless

Yorkshire Stainless has maximised storage capacity by reducing aisle widths and turning areas at its new raw materials store, thanks to the help of a Sidetracker multidirectional reach truck from Sidetracker Engineering.

The Sidetracker SOW25 truck used in the warehouse is a narrow-aisle model that has allowed the aisles in the cantilever racking to be reduced to 1.9m. In addition, because the truck can steer in any direction, including diagonally, and rotate in a full circle on the spot, space for turning has also been significantly reduced. The truck has a lift capacity of 2000kg at 500mm load centre and a triplex mast with a maximum lift height of 8.5m.

Maximum fork spread is 3000mm, a wide reach well allows 1400mm-wide pallets to be handled at floor level.
