Trucks boost storage efficiency October 1st 2007 After eight years using a
high capacity sidetracker
multi-direction reach truck
to handle press tools
weighing up to 4t at its
factory in West Lothian,
Mitsubishi Electric has taken
delivery of a second truck to
work in a new production
unit nearby.
As tool numbers increased,
the space needed to store
them was encroaching on
production areas. Mitsubishi
installed multi-level pallet
racking and uses a
Sidetracker multi-direction
reach truck to lift tools on
and off the racking.
Although the truck has a
lift capacity of 4100kg at
600mm load centre,
compact dimensions and its
ability to travel in any
direction, allowed aisle
widths and turning areas to
be minimised. More articles from Sidetracker Engineering Ltd: |
