Doosan Awards Double
April 1st 2006 Korean manufacturer Doosan-Daewoo is celebrating two awards from the Forklift Truck Association.
First up was a surprised Doosan technical manager, Colin Dewdney, who walked away with the 2006 Employee of The Year Award. The award recognised Colin's technical expertise and years of experience.
Doosan canvassed for the nomination after what they called 'years of loyal and dedicated service.'
Next, it was UK general manager, Kun H Lee's turn to make a trip to the stage to collect an Archie for success in the Safety category.
The Safety award was presented for Doosan's Pro-5 Electric series which includes steering angle sensors that monitor both speed and turning angle to control travel speeds during cornering.
"Knowing that there is a lot of investment and research behind these products is very important for our customers," said Kun H Lee. "We've grown considerably over the past two to three years, working with companies large and small. Safety is an increasingly important issue for them.
