Toyota expands sales Overnight
April 1st 2007

Toyota this year became preferred materials handling supplier to parcel delivery specialists, APC Overnight.

The deal, negotiated by West Midlands dealer, Toyota Handling, means the company will supply forklifts to APC's 120 UK depots.

APC Overnight invited four major suppliers to tender. According to Toyota, reduced operating costs, increased driver comfort, strong aftercare and competitive pricing were decisive factors in winning the business. Toyota's SAS (System of Active Stability), which boosts safety, also shaped the decision. Each depot can also choose method of ownership: outright purchase; lease purchase; or contract hire.

"We were impressed," says Mike Dewick, APC Overnight general manager.

"We will advise all our depots to select Toyota and look forward to a successful partnership."
