Ergonomics are the answer
August 1st 2008

Yale has introduced its new High Level (10m) Order Picker – the MO Series VNA Order Picking truck. It is designed specifically for use in european distribution warehouses.

The new generation of VNA medium and high level order picker has the latest AC sealed motors on drive, lift and steering, solid state CANbus communication and high visibility mast. It is available with 1000kg lift capacity and a 10m pick height. The CANbus networked control system has built-in error detection and automatic height sensing.

Yale says that its research into what operators want from a VNA truck revealed the answer to be exceptional ergonomics. 'Everything the operator sees and touches is harmonised to create a near perfect operating environment'.

The MO Series has a large uncluttered floor space (250mm step height) and a soft cushioned acoustic cabin finish. Truck functions can be controlled without the operator having to reposition the hands.

Proportional butterfly controls and joystick levers allow for absolute control of the truck and picking platform (forks).

PIN code access and individual operator preferences with height pre-selection, add to the versatility of the truck.

There are three chassis specifications, fourteen high visibility masts, picking heights (h12 + 1600mm) from 5420 to 9995mm and guided or free path travel.

This gives warehouse operators a wide choice of specification to match operating requirements.
