Comfortably productive December 1st 2008 Kammac has taken delivery of 14
Yale MR16 reach trucks for its
Knowsely warehouse, as part of a
larger supply contract.
The dedicated 3PL customer
warehouse has 22,000 pallet
locations within conventional,
adjustable pallet racking and caters
for an average of 10,000 pallet
movements per 5-day week. Each
operator has his own truck with pincode
access to ensure sole use.
Reach truck operation using
MR16 trucks is intuitive for the
experienced operator, with controls
close to hand and progressive flyby-
wire steering for smooth
operation. Operator comfort is
enhanced with a 3-way adjustable
steering console, multi-function
display, fingertip controls and
sliding padded armrest.
Features include CANbus systems
connectivity and electronic steering,
brushless AC motors, proximity
sensors rather than mechanical
switches, increased thermal
protection and improved fault
diagnosis via a multi-function DDI
display, all of which contribute to
lower maintenance. More articles from Yale Europe Materials Handling: |
