Reach truck operates outside
December 1st 2005

Hubtex has launched what it claims to be the world's first heavy duty Reach truck.

Although Hubtex has traditionally been better known for its range of multidirectional sideloaders, the new Hubtex 4120 allows heavy loads to be handled in much smaller spaces than a conventional counterbalance truck.

The truck was developed to meet the huge demand from the Chinese Steel Industry to handle heavy steel coils. It has now been produced as a standard model for this market and other industries throughout Europe and the rest of the World.

The range has a capacity of up to 6 tonnes and is also capable of working outside.

This will be of particular interest to companies who currently use overhead cranes and counterbalance trucks. Using the Hubtex 4120 the double handling associated with this method of operation is eliminated and, as a result, the potential for product damage is reduced.
