AC trucks offer low running costs
October 1st 2004

The Cesab Blitz three and four-wheel AC electric forklift trucks offer manoeuvrability in tight spaces, minimal maintenance and lower running costs.

Use of AC technology, already seen on the Cesab BLITZ 250-350 and Cesab MAK 400-500 electric models, has recently been extended to the Blitz three and four-wheel trucks with capacity from 1.2 to 2.0 tonnes.

As well as offering advantages in terms of performance and running costs, AC technology can also improve acceleration, braking, steering and direction control.

Cesab Blitz 3R/4R AC trucks require significantly less maintenance than the equivalent models with direct current drive, as they have no carbon brushes. The use of oil immersed brakes also helps to cut running costs.

In addition, the introduction of CAN-bus technology reduces the amount of wiring, improving data exchange between the various electrical components.

The Blitz 3R/4R is easy to manoeuvre, even in very tight spaces, due partly to the drive and lifting parameters being electronically programmable. The operator has a choice of three different driving programs, selected using convenient buttons on the steering column.

The simple, intuitive control system guarantees minimal effort for the driver and the seat has an arm-rest to take the fingertip or mini-joystick controls.
