Norco Group happy to be back at school
June 1st 2008 Norco Group, an Aberdeenbased
industrial battery and
UPS specialist, has teamed
with a local secondary
school competing in the
Greenpower Formula 24
endurance race to help with
a project to build a batterypowered
race car.
Teams must build an
endurance ready electric car
from a 240W, 24V DC electric
motor. Each team is also
given four 12V lead acid
batteries (two on the car and
two spare). Teams will then
compete in a number of 6h
endurance races against
other schools
Bankhead Academy asked
Norco engineers for help
with the design and build of
the motor drive circuit. The
company also donated
battery chargers, provided
transportation for the car
and helped design the
