All-steer four wheel AC tow tractor

New from Bradshaw Electric Vehicles is a 7t capacity, all-steer four wheel AC tow tractor.

Designated the T6, the new vehicle has been designed to combine high levels of stability with the performance benefits inherent with AC technology. It also offers 50kg more tractive power than its three wheel counterpart.

Ease of programming thanks to AC technology means it is easy to match the T6’s performance to each individual site. It also provides lower maintenance and improved reliability, together with more information on vehicle performance and current status, to the driver and fleet manager.

Braking has been developed to meet all possible situations. A ‘dead man’ seat pad stops the vehicle as soon as the driver leaves the seat.

This electromagnetic brake also works as a parking brake until the driver is safely seated and accelerates. A foot operated hydraulic brake provides the main stopping mechanism, but this is backed by dynamic braking from the AC motor, which prevents over speeding on downhill slopes and quickly stops the vehicle when the accelerator is released.

Power is provided to the rear wheels for maximum traction and weight distribution has been arranged to provide light steering that also provides adequate feedback to the driver.

Of compact dimensions, the T6 offers a turning circle of 2300mm.

Standard features include a 810 x 580mm load area behind the driver, plus head, tail and stop lights.
