Complete control of weighty trolleys
October 1st 2003

Manufacturer of top grain leather for the automotive industry, Eagle Ottawa, has recently taken delivery of two Nu-Star Power Tugs at its Warrington site. Nu-Star was contacted to help solve manual handling issues involving the movement of A-frame trolleys referred to as horses. Used to transport leather hides on site, these were pushed/pulled by hand an unpopular task as the combination of swivelling castors and weight made manoeuvring very difficult. Nu-Star designed a bespoke method of attaching the horses that ensures operators can move them around with complete control. According to Scott Shonamon, manager of the Eagle Ottawa site, There has been a substantial improvement in safety and ergonomics is using the Power Tug.
