Heavy payload handling robot
December 1st 2003

Providing enhanced ability to handle complete pallet layers of product, Fanuc has added a new heavy payload handling robot to its i series the M-410i B handles up to 450kg. Three versions have been introduced capable of high speeds when handling full payloads: a 160kg payload arm with 1500 cycles per hour; a 300kg payload arm with 1000 cycles per hour; and a 450kg payload arm with 700 cycles per hour. The base of the four axes arm is configured to occupy a small footprint of just over a square metre, while its elevated articulated arm design allows it to comfortably work within an envelope 2.5m high by 3m reach by 360. This configuration makes the M-410i B suitable for servicing multiple palletising stations with multiple conveyor inputs.
