Protects overhead cranes from walls and other machinery

Cattron-Theimeg has introduced two new collision avoidance systems for overhead cranes the UltraGuard and the LCAS (laser collision avoidance system). UltraGuard is a self contained zone-adjustable range detection system, which operates with advanced ultrasonic technology and digital processing. It warns of impending collisions and slows the cranes speed, ultimately stopping it before impact occurs. The LCAS uses retroreflective Class 1 laser technology, which can detect either stationary or moving objects. It is also field adjustable, so the crane can be slowed or stopped at any user-selected distance.
