Pushes paper reels with ease and safety December 1st 2003 St. Regis Paper Company has taken delivery of a second Nu-Star Power Pusher at its Somerset site, where it is used to push reels of recycled envelope paper and coreboard.
The pedestrian operated, battery powered tug unit can be used to push rolling loads weighing up to 40,000kg. For the paper industry a bespoke reel-mover attachment has been designed to make sure the unit can push a wide variety of different circumference paper reels. Unlike other products on the market, the Power Pusher is completely self contained and does not have any trailing wires, cables or airlines.
The Power Pusher is very easy to use and eliminates the manual effort usually required to move the reels, said Adrian Virgin, engineer at St Regis. Its small size and pedestrian operation mean it is much safer than a forklift. More articles from Ability Handling: |
