Tow tractor for production line deliveries
October 1st 2003

Specialist battery powered vehicle manufacturer, Bradshaw Electric Vehicles, has launched the T3 a stand-on three tonne capacity tow tractor for production line deliveries that has a full range of features. High levels of stability and safety are achieved thanks to the tractors own one tonne weight and low centre of gravity. All round operational vision, a dead-man foot switch, and full function tiller control also contribute to safety. Operator fatigue is minimised by a low step-on height of just 160mm and full back support for the driver in standing position. There is also a remote drivers release for the tow-hitch. Designed specifically for use in the confined spaces of a production area, the T3 has a wheel base of 1100mm and a turning circle of one metre, or as determined by the trailer size. For low maintenance, the T3 employs the latest generation brushless AC motor and AC controller. The 24V battery comes in a roll-out box and can be specified at up to 560A/hrs. After decades of experience with every size of tow tractor, we have applied our knowledge to the stand-on category, said Adrian Woodward, Bradshaw Electric Vehicles sales director. We expect the features of the T3 to find rapid acceptance on the shop floor. The T3 has already been ordered by Toyota for its manufacturing plant in Derby.
