Tractel acquires lifting company

In a move to further expand its product range, Tractel has acquired the Lyon-based French company Charlet SA. Charlet products include sheave and snatch blocks, hook blocks for offshore cranes and bottom blocks for mobile and overhead cranes. Markets include mechanical, heavy steel, automotive, food, nuclear, military, civil engineering, offshore and transportation industries. Tractel plans to combine the manufacturing facilities of Charlet and Topal an earlier acquisition, also based in Lyon.
