Vacuum lifting solutionDecember 1st 2005
When health and safety assessments identified manual handling problems, Norfolk-based office furniture manufacturer, Lee and Plumpton approached Palamatic Handling Systems for a solution.
After an initial review Lee and Plumpton now has eight vacuum lifting systems on several work processes within its factory.
The lifting systems have been suspended on a wide variety of support gantry configurations to give maximum flexibility.
As well as satisfying health and safety requirements, the lifting systems have resulted in increased productivity on work processes such as lifting boards from stacks to a beam saw, feeding a Baz CNC Router, and lifting boards onto conveyors and into flat packs.
