All terrain powered pallet truck
October 1st 2005 Second City Lift Truck has introduced an electrically powered all terrain pallet truck to the UK market.
Built by Conhersa of Spain the machine is aimed primarily at the building industry, farms and garden centres but would be a useful tool anywhere that heavy loads have to be moved horizontally over ground that has not been ‘made up’ or a surface on which it is difficult to use conventional pallet trucks.
The manual version has proved very popular with hire companies supplying to the building trade and with health and safety concerns constantly returning to the repetitive strain of pulling loads, a powered version seemed a natural progression.
Whilst there are several European suppliers of manual all terrain pallet trucks, Second City Lift Truck believes Conhersa is the first to introduce a powered version.
Driven by a powerful 24v 600 amp motor the truck has a maximum speed of 0.6m/s and the 800 amp lift motor allows weights up to 1.2t to be handled.
As with the manual version, the truck is designed to straddle pallets and lifts with conventional adjustable forks.
The machine is fitted with all necessary safety devices and is supplied with a separate charger that can be used in a standard 13 amp supply. More articles from Jofson Limited: |
