Brewer orders 24 lgvs May 1st 2011 Well renowned Swedish brewery and
soft drinks producer Spendrups has
selected Elettric 80 as its supplier of
an LGV system which will be a key
part of a major automation project
on site.
In addition to the LGVs, the
project includes automatic storage
handling in a new high bay
warehouse facility. The LGV (Laser
Guided Vehicle) system being
provided will serve all ten
production lines in the brewery,
automating the transportation of
finished products,
empty pallets and
return glass goods
at Spendrups's
facility in
Grängesberg.
Twenty-four
fork-style LGVs, of
the latest 4th
Generation vehicles
from Elettric 80,
capable of handling
one or two pallets at a time,
depending on the mission will be
supplied. The LGV System will bring
finished goods pallets from all
production lines to a monorail
bridge which links the production
facility to the adjacent warehouse
building across the road.
The fully automatic battery
exchange/charger system provides
24-hour availability of the LGV fleet
without any human intervention. More articles from Elettric 80 AB: |
