Hanging garment system December 1st 2009 Dürkopp Fördertechnik has recently
completed the design and
installation of a hanging garment
storage and sortation system for
ASDA George's northern regional
distribution centre in Washington,
North-East England.
The project covers 54,000m2 over
five floors, providing storage for
around three million hanging items.
Deliveries are processed through six
goods-in doors, each equipped with
telescopic booms to enable staff to
unload vehicles quickly and
efficiently. RFID technology allows
garment carriers to be conveyed and
tracked automatically to their
designated storage area. Dürkopp's
Conveyor Control System interfaces
with the ASDA Walmart WMS to
provide seamless, real-time stock
management and control. More articles from Durkopp Fordertechnik: |
