Increasing efficiency December 1st 2010 Elettric 80 has challenged the idea that
only production companies benefit
from automation. It contends
distribution centres can be automated
by laser guided vehicles, increasing
both warehouse efficiency and safety
while reducing costs.
The company adds: "Elettric 80
LGV systems are usually implemented
in existing warehouse environments,
with little or no site modification
required. Consequently, the
investment is budget-friendly and
quickly returned.
"The warehouse can opt for
different types of LGVs; capable of
transporting one or more pallets at a
time. Elettric 80's Giraffe is a single
pallet reach truck, which can handle
goods at 11m high. The
reprogrammable systems adapt to
most methods, for instance block
stacking, drive-in racks, and narrow
aisle racking, giving the warehouse
unparalleled flexibility."
At any interval, the LGVs can
perform housekeeping. In addition to
warehouse optimisation, personal
safety is increased, due to centimetreprecision
handling and advanced
safety technology.Visit Elettric 80 at
