124 electric chain hoists ordered
June 1st 2007 Demag Cranes &
Components has received a
significant order for electric
chain hoists. The order for
124 hoists was placed by
Stoke-on-Trent based
distributor, Chains and Lifting
Tackle, for a client in the
engineering sector. All of the
hoists supplied are 1250Kg
SWL rated models from
Demag's SC-COM range.

hoists are based on the very
latest technology and their
duty rating outperforms
other models in their class,"
says Chains and Lifting
Tackle's managing director,
Phil Wiggins.
The Demag DC-COM range
has been developed to
combine competitive pricing
with simple commissioning,
ease of operation and low
maintenance. The two-speed
hoists feature an ergonomic
control pendant, with a fully
adjustable cable, which
allows the pendant to be
positioned at a safe and
comfortable height for the
operator. Safe load handling
is assured by the hoists'
single fall chain design.
For ease of
maintenance,the entire chain
may be replaced without
having to remove the motor
