Continuing crane care
December 1st 2008 Morris Material Handling is
continuing to deliver a total
crane care package at the
Worcester-based facility of
Joy Mining Machinery.
Included is a
comprehensive and fixed
price maintenance contract
that covers Joy Mining
Machinery's 50 overhead
travelling cranes and some
120 jib hoists. The
maintenance services
division of the lifting
services provider has also
undertaken project work,
including the design and
installation of overhead
travelling cranes.
As Joy Mining Machinery's
works engineer comments:
"Given the high risk activities
associated with our onsite
cranes and jib hoists, it is
essential to ensure that the
lifting equipment is
maintained to the highest
standards and in accordance
with manufacturers'
maintenance schedules to
ensure safe operation and
optimum efficiency.

Resident Morris site
engineers carry out daily
safety inspections, routine
planned maintenance,
reactive breakdown
maintenance and outsidenormal-
hours call outs.
The service is reviewed to
ensure that standards are

extremely satisfied with the
