Environmentally friendly waste transport
December 1st 2006

The Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield has replaced a diesel tractor with a more energy efficient electric truck from Bradshaw Electric Vehicles.

The truck will assist with waste collection throughout the 270 shop site which has 400,000 visitors a week.

Mark Allison of Meadowhall, says: "The vehicle will be used to transport waste, in 1100 litre bins, to our Resource Recovery Centre (RRC) where we segregate waste for recycling.

We believe this truck to be a more environmentally friendly option and this fits into our transport plan and overall environmental targets and objectives." Meadowhall shopping centre already had two vehicles from Bradshaw and Mark adds: "Bradshaw's vehicles are of a very high standard and very reliable. We have purchased an FB3, which performs well and is ideal for servicing our facilities."
