Briggs Equipment strengthens tail lift business February 1st 2008 Briggs Equipment has
strengthened its position in
the tail lift industry with the
launch of its new Vehicle
Mounted Lifting Equipment
(VMLE) division.
In recent years more
onerous operating
regulations, increasing safety
legislation and a highly
fragmented service provider
network have meant the UK
tail lift industry has been in
dire need of a national
specialist solution. Briggs has
established a new nationa
service division dedicated to
the tail lift market, designed
to deliver bespoke service to
stringent standards
nationally.
The new VMLE division
consists of a dedicated team
of field service engineers and
six specially extended wheel
base vans with an on-board
crane and hoist mechanism,
a 4t pay load and 2t of test
weights.
The twelve-strong VMLE
engineering team has been
given extensive training to
ensure national standards are
delivered to the highest
levels. This includes full
diagnostics skills, lift change,
and core competences in
hydraulics and power packs
and load and functionality
tests. To meet the time
critical service levels on
national breakdowns, Briggs
also trained its 450-strong
engineering workforce on
familiarisation for tail lift
repairs and servicing. More articles from Briggs Equipment UK Ltd: |
