needed to launch a sailing boat from
the garden of a client in a
Devonshire coastal village location –
over a wall, around a tree and down
on to the tidal estuary – the
engineering consultant approached

difficult, confined space application.
REID used its new PORTA-DAVIT
1000 aluminium lifting davit as the
base product, customising a
lightweight, portable lifting system
that provided a 2.6m radius, WLL
250kg rated Davit system operable by
just one person.
Easily assembled, operated,
dismantled, bagged and stored; the
REID solution left the client's garden
uncluttered by any fixed lifting
