Versatility with ability May 1st 2010 Designed for low level lifting jobs in the
warehouse, Still has released the EXU-H
low lift truck with load capacities of 1800
and 2000kg
Versatility is a key aim of the EXU-H low lift truck. It is
designed to transport goods horizontally over short and
medium distances and to load or unload lorries. It can
also be used as a mobile working platform for loads up to 800kg,
with the addition of order picking lift. Still sees the truck as ideal,
for example, to replenish racks in supermarkets or when changing
the tools of industrial machines.
The manufacturer has also prized ergonomics in the design with
the truck supporting the operator and working against backache.
The EXU-H also features an auto lift function, which makes
sure the load is always at a comfortable and ergonomic lift
height. A sensor measures the height of the load. The fork is
automatically lifted or lowered depending on the height of the
load on the pallet. The operator does not need to bend far down
to pick up load or lift loads unnecessarily. In addition, this
feature increases the turnover performance, because the lift
height does not need to be adjusted manually.
All storage compartments can be adapted to the requirements
of the operator. There is a bottle holder or a holder for a mobile
phone. A pen holder and a paper clip are also integrated. An
additional bar to mount accessories and a fleet manager access
control can also be ordered.
In terms of maneuverability, Still has worked on the tiller to
increase effectiveness. The tiller of the EXU-H is equipped with
Optispeed functions. This means the travelling speed of the truck
is automatically adjusted to the angle of the tiller. This allows
slow driving in narrow spaces with the tiller nearly upright to
make manoeuvring very easy and fast.
If the operator pulls the tiller towards himself, the travelling
speed increases proportionally up to 6 km/h. If the tiller is
horizontal or vertical the EXU-H stops immediately in order not
to endanger the operator. To cover longer distances the EXU-H is
also available with a stand-on platform. The low height of the
forks - 85 mm (before 91 mm) makes it easy to enter pallets
crosswise.
Two features of the EXU-H ensure a large floor clearance. The
initial lift has been increased by 34mm to 159mm but now it also
lifts the battery tray. The mast was integrated in the chassis
moving the weight further backwards. This increases the pressure
on the drive wheel which in turn improves the ability of the
truck to climb up ramps. By standard the EXU-H is equipped
with an automatic ramp stop.
The truck uses a 1.2kW drive motor with AC technology and
two driving modes - Eco or Boost, with the maintenance interval
doubled from 500 to 1000 hours of operation. An optional
version for operation in cold
stores is also available. More articles from Still Materials Handling Ltd: |
