Warehouse is no plain Jane
December 1st 2007 Success in the high street
has brought pressure for an
expansion in warehousing
and distribution services for
Jane Norman. Small storage
and distribution warehouses
in North London have been
consolidated into a much
larger and more modern
facility in Coventry.
With a careful layout
design incorporating a
number of different products
from the CI Logistics
portfolio including; pallet
racking, longspan shelving
for boxed goods and Hook-In
garment racking, suitable
storage, appropriate for each
type of product was
obtained. Tectrac, the
overhead monorail trolley
system was used to
transport garments to the
collation and despatch area.
By using static, low-level
benching and lineshaft roller
conveyors in combination
with transfer units and
powered roller bends,
shipping boxes, once filled
can be moved quickly to a
shrink-wrap system which
ensures tamper-proof
