Wear resistant chain & belt drive
February 1st 2007 igus will promote its latest wear resistant energy chain system and a unique belt drive on stand 20A110 at the forthcoming IMHX show. igus has recently launched a magnetic energy chain, which 'floats' in a magnetic force field and is therefore almost completely wearproof. "LeviChain" is designed to guide and protect cables moving over long distances and has possible applications in cleanrooms, medical engineering, measurement engineering, automotive paint plants, industrial robots, electronics manufacturing, materials handling and linear motors. igus has also developed a new product especially for materials handling systems, automated warehousing and retrieval systems and industrial rolling doors. "Micro Flizz" is a speciallydesigned energy chain system, which supplies moving equipment with electrical or pneumatic supplies via a rolling conveyor. The energy chain runs in an aluminium guide channel, which supports the upper and lower chain runs, allowing a lightweight, low wear system.
