Carmarthenshire Tyre Services has installed another Single Wheel Lift from Penny Hydraulics on its latest service vehicle to enable fitters and engineers to carry out work without any manual handling or lifting. This is the fifth vehicle operated by the tyre service specialist to be fitted with the handling device. Penny Hydraulics also provides a range of support and maintenance services to ensure legal compliance and operational reliability for the equipment it has supplied.

The Single Wheel Lift is a vehicle mounted platform lift with maximum working load of up to 250kg that can be installed at the rear or side door of a van for handling tyres of all sizes including large commercials. The unit's rollered platform and easy-to-operate locking device also creates a useful tool for re-grooving tyres inside or outside the vehicle.

During operation the platform can be lowered on to the ground to create a stable area for working and to allow tyres and wheels to be rolled on and off easily without any lifting.
