Bodies get a turn

manufactures flow meter bodies with
bores ranging from 800 to 1200mm
in diameter, weighing up to 1.2t.
Given the scale of the components,
they were becoming increasingly
difficult to manage during the
production process.
Siemens approached Handling
Concepts to design and produce a
mechanism to turn the bodies over,
in a time scale of eight weeks,
working from a detailed specification
of weights, sizes and relationships
with other production equipment.
Thanks to the solution from
Handling Concepts, it now only takes
