BT has announced a series of updates to its Orion range of powered pallet trucks. Models in the range are: LWE180: 1800kg lift capacity, maximum battery capacity 240Ah. LWE200: 2000kg lift capacity. maximum battery capacity 320Ah. LPE200: 2000kg lift capacity, maximum battery capacity 320Ah. The rider platform makes this unit suitable for longer travel distances. LPE2001: stainless steel version of the LPE200 for corrosive/high-hygiene applications. LPE240: 2400kg lift capacity, maximum battery capacity 600Ah. For demanding applications, maximum travel speed of 12km/hr. Full sideguards and back rest also optional. All models feature BT Powerdrive, providing smooth, efficient control through a separately excited motor and powerful central processor with CAN-bus technology. The LPE models also feature the improved BT Powertrak system that ensures drive wheel traction is always optimised with respect to the loads on the forks. This results in enhanced control and the elimination of wheelspin. Improved climber skids are also fitted to the high capacity models for better pallet access. Other features include Click-2-Creep creep speed function and up to 100 PIN codes for secure access with pre-programmable performance parameters to suit the individual operator.
