Twin awards for Gemini

StepLift of Ireland has been awarded the Best Overseas product for its Magline Powered Gemini hand delivery cart at the SHOP 2007 expo in Dublin.

The device is able to move up to 1000 lb loads with the operation of a single paddle switch. Its two-speed motor will operate for two miles if fully loaded; further if the load is less. The battery can be recharged easily using a conventional electric socket or vehicle 12v point.

The Powered Gemini also won a Highly Commended for Product of the Show.

StepLift's MD, Bernard Ryan comments "The response to the Powered Gemini at the show has been remarkable.

Having worked in the courier industry for some time, I am well aware of many of the health and safety issues faced every day by couriers and people working in the food and drinks industry.

"There are many needless injuries to staff when carrying items. Some of these injuries are so severe not only do they end careers, they plague operatives literally to the grave. Products such as the Powered Gemini can really make an impact to reducing the amount of work related injuries."
